_Status/timing information

In the VH and Fitz laboratories, we use the multifunction data acquisition system by Cambridge Electronic Design (CED) to record event timestamps, to record analog data, and to produce analog output (and could in principle use it to produce digital output). This system consists of the 1401 (either micro-1401 or Power-1401), which is the multifunction data acquisition hardware, and Spike2, the software companion that controls the board (and can also be used to analyze data).

Following a previous implementation by Tom Tucker, we have extended the use of the 16 channel digital inputs to the 1401 recording device.
